If you look at the setup of the story, My Favorite Mistake should be a sure hit for me. Here’s the checklist:
- Head-over-heels-damn-straight-hot-bad boy: check!
- Cohabitation: check!
- Antonym-of-a-damsel-in-distress girl: check!
- College setting: check!
Thing is, the bar is set tower-high for this kind of theme, and no book has ever trumped that yet. If only I read this before my indie reads, I would have appreciated it better. But right now, I just couldn’t stomach the cheesy lines. Hahaha!
Don’t get me wrong, it was an okay book.
